Introduction
When it comes to training the trainers, we are experts in the field. Whether you are new to training and facilitation or have a number of years experience, this training for trainers course helps you see ways in which you can become a better, more effective trainer.
The course is intensive and delivered over three days, exploring areas such as the stages of competence, learning styles, training room dynamics, dealing with difficult behaviour, delivery types, training resources, feedback, assessment, planing and designing. It consists of five trainer-led sessions followed by a micro-training session, where you will have an opportunity to demonstrate your training skills.
If you deliver workplace training then this course will be of particular interest to you. It focuses on one-to-one and small group delivery as well as demonstration techniques. Our Train the Trainer courses are regularly delivered to many industries including the care sector, automotive, food production, off-shore, recycling, adult education, aviation, hair and beauty, housing, training and retail.

Content
The units are as follows:
Unit 1: How We Learn
This unit examines the main phases of learning and considers how different learner preferences can shape the design and delivery of effective training sessions.
Unit 2: Starting a Training Session
This unit outlines the key steps required before delivering training, including defining clear outcomes. It also explores how to begin a session confidently, identifies possible obstacles, and suggests practical ways to address them.
Unit 3: Delivering Training
This unit concentrates on delivery skills, covering the use of training materials, questioning strategies to promote engagement and understanding, and a variety of delivery methods.
Unit 4: Assessment and Feedback
This unit focuses on monitoring learner progress and delivering effective feedback to enhance performance and support ongoing learning.
Unit 5: Ending a Training Session
This unit explains how to successfully conclude a training session, including reviewing key content, collecting participant feedback, and evaluating your own delivery for future improvement.
Unit 6: Planning and Designing
This unit builds on previous knowledge to guide you in creating well-structured, engaging, and purposeful training sessions.
Unit 7: Micro-training
The final unit takes place on Day 3 and provides each delegate with the opportunity to deliver a short 15-minute training session to the group, applying the techniques and principles covered throughout the course.
What's the difference between the 2-Day and 3-Day Train the Trainer?
The only difference betwen the two courses is that on the 3-Day course the candidates have time on the second day to prepare their micro-training sessions that they deliver on the third day. With the 2-Day course there is very minimal preparation time during the actual training hours.
